Así que el mundo fue

Synopsis

The composition of this work, in the opinion of its author, is the final proof that any framework or layout —biological, physical or philosophical— originates in the same way as verbal language. "Así que el mundo fue" describes, not the epic events that gave rise to the physical world, but the logical continuum with which any language emerges. This work masks a philosophical premise only unveiled when the error of the world appears in Flis' cosmology. It is the dramatic element that no scientific method dares to locate and that literary endeavours have proved universally unable to discover any other place but the unfolding of human existence. In the opinion of Zebedeo Flis, the drama of existence is not limited to humans. Flis is not afraid of pointing out what failed in the creation of the world: life in a broader and more general sense —life in a biological sense— would be the cause of the error that perverts the linguistic precision of the world and turns it into a bottomless pit of moral confusion.

The book

No book will surprise a reader as much as this one does. A text that is difficult to classify inspired a design that is equally difficult to identify with a specific publishing trend. The shape of the book mirrors the thoughtful nature of the text and goes to the heart of the author's logic in the form of a solution that will afford the reader a unique reading experience.

A round page, joined to the book's other pages with a thread right in the centre, seemed to be the best solution to support the recurring and circular text. Mention should be made of the quality of the paper: bright, grainy texture and a pleasant cotton touch. The book's unusual production features are also outstanding, such as the rough edges of the round pages and the coloured borders that decorate the leaves, both of which are done by hand. The cardboard or wood covers that protect the block of pages and are joined by the same thread that "binds" the book are not usually seen in commercial editions, either. We cannot hide the fact that users of our Lavandera Blanca* Editores books will need to get used an entirely new way of reading. The challenge is compensated by a stimulating experience that is free from routine and the opposite of lazy reading.
